I just had to share something wonderful we had at La Habicheula, it was during our second trip to the restaurant. We had gone there earlier in the week and loved it so much that we decided to go back for a great meal on our last night in Cancun. One of the things we had was the soft shelled crab taco. YUM!
It was a lightly breaded (deep fried of course) soft shelled crab, a few slices of the most perfectly ripe avocado and some nice mid range spicy salsa, add a little drizzle of freshly squeezed lime all wrapped in a perfectly cooked taco.
I’ve had soft-shelled crab before but only in sushi and that’s one thing that I’m not so keen on making, there are just too many varieties that I like and it’s a lot of ingredients to have around. But these soft-shelled crabs in the tacos are amazing. Easy enough to replicate at home. If only I could get my hands on some soft shelled crab!!!
But if you’re ever in Cancun and stop in at La Habicheula have these… you won’t regret it! Thank you La Habicheula for some wonderful food and fantastic service!
